A tour operator - guides and thematic travel specialists - at the service of travelers in search of discovery, true adventure and encounter in North & Latin America . We develop and operate tours according to the combined principals of fair trade and ecotourism which bring us to define our operations as "ethical ecotourism".

According to our approach, ethical ecotourism is a group of activities and services proposed to responsible travellers and developed in partnership with the local communities or, in a large part, with their collaboration. These communities play a predominant role in the evolution of the definition of these activities (possibility of modifying them, reorienting them or ending them). They also take part in their management and benefit from the advantages arising from these activities. The social, cultural and financial benefits of these activities must be locally received and equitably shared between the members of the local population.

Fair trade Tourism must generate direct financial benefits to the local population and promote the conservation of the local environment from which the population gets its means of support. This type of tourism must also ensure a fair remuneration to all the workers, producers and craftsmen enabling them to cover their basic needs: health, education, housing and social protection. It ensures that the basic people rights are respected and establishes sustainable relations between the economic partners while supporting the conservation of the environment. Fair trade tourism offers travellers quality services which benefit the visited regions.

In each of our tours, we support reforestation as well as local development projects. Our guided tours respect and promote the fundamental principles of ecotourism. Each one of our travellers, following his booking, receives a "Traveller's File". This very detailed document informs the traveller on all the aspects of the tour and describes the supported local projects specific to this tour. Our definition of ecotourism: Ethical and responsible tourism contributing to the environmental protection and well being of the local populations. Ecotourism is based on values and principles, it implies on behalf of the traveller a desire to learn and take part in the protection of the environment while supporting the local economy. Doing so, it provides a means of protecting the values and uniqueness of the local cultures as it largely depends on conservation of cultures and nature to exist.

The International Ecotourism Society defines ecotourism as "responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people." This is the basic definition of what ecotourism is to us. We agree that those who implement and participate in ecotourism activities should minimally follow these principles:

• Minimize impact;
• Build environmental and cultural awareness and respect;
• Provide positive experiences for both visitors and hosts;
• Provide direct financial benefits for conservation;
• Provide financial benefits and empowerment for local people;
• Raise sensitivity to host countries' political, environmental, and social climate;
• Support international human rights and labour agreements;
  

As a member of The International Ecotourism Society, we follow and promote the principles of ecotourism here outlined in our organization's operations and policies.

We're also a member of Sustainable Travel International dedicated to providing eco-certification within the travel and tourism industry and promoting international sustainable travel.

Everywhere we travel we finance development and/or conservation projects. As part of our mission, we also develop and produce ecotourism promotion documents for television, Internet and other medias.
